What We Use
This page will become our running list of the gear, apps, services, memberships, and systems we use, test, or seriously evaluate as we move toward full-time fifth-wheel life.
We’ll separate what we use now from what we’re testing or considering, and we’ll update the list as real-world experience changes our opinions. The goal is simple: useful recommendations, clear tradeoffs, and no pushy referrals.
Initial focus areas
RV Gear & Maintenance
The setup that keeps us safe and functional: towing gear, safety equipment, tools, maintenance supplies, water/sewer/electrical basics, and the items that earn their space.
Connectivity & Mobile Office
Reliable Internet is non-negotiable for remote work. We’ll document Starlink, cellular redundancy, routers, antennas, Wi-Fi, and the audio/video gear behind our YouTube channel.
Power & Solar Systems
We’ll evaluate solar, batteries, inverters, generators, soft starts, monitoring, and the real-world power habits that make full-time fifth-wheel life more comfortable.
Categories we’ll track
We’ll add specific products and services as we use, test, or seriously evaluate them. For now, this page is organized by the categories that matter most for full-time fifth-wheel life.
RV Gear & Maintenance
Tools, safety gear, maintenance supplies, hoses, filters, surge protection, TPMS, spare parts, and setup equipment.
Connectivity & Mobile Office
Starlink, cellular, routers, antennas, Wi-Fi, laptops, monitors, audio/video gear, and the setup we use for remote work and content creation.
Power & Solar
Solar, batteries, inverters, generators, soft starts, power monitoring, temperature sensors, and the gear that keeps the rig usable off-grid.
Apps & Planning Tools
Trip planning, campground research, fuel savings, weather, navigation, budgeting, checklists, and the tools that reduce friction.
Memberships & Services
Campground memberships, boondocking networks, mail forwarding, domicile services, roadside assistance, insurance, and other services we actually use or evaluate.
Financial & Travel Tools
Budgeting tools, credit cards, referrals, banking, rewards, and travel tools we use responsibly without turning the site into a sales pitch.
How we handle referrals
Some links on this page may eventually be affiliate or referral links. If that happens, we’ll disclose it clearly. Our goal is to be useful, not pushy. We won’t recommend something only because it pays us, and we’ll update this page when experience changes our opinion.
Coming soon
These will become deeper pages as we publish videos, test gear, and separate what we use now from what we’re still evaluating.
